“Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.” –Ezekiel 37:4
REFERENCE:
We may not know it, but as God’s children, our deliverance is often in our mouths. Jesus said, “Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Scripture reveals that all things are created by the spoken word of God and respond to it. The fig tree responded, the winds and waves, and the fish that once refused Peter’s fishing net also responded to the Word.
Everything on earth – animate or inanimate, the visible or invisible – can all hear and respond to the Word of the LORD. So, that situation confronting you can respond to and line up with the Word of God. Ezekiel found himself in a valley full of dry bones; a hopeless situation. These were not just day or week-old dead bodies; they had been dead for a long time. God asked Ezekiel if the bones could live again. Knowing the impossibility of the situation but unable to deny the ability of God, Ezekiel said, “Only you know, God.” Yes, God indeed knew. He faced a situation where everything was chaotic, dark, and void, but changed that situation by speaking.
God told Ezekiel, “Prophesy to the bones and say what you want to see happen.” Ezekiel then prophesied as He was commanded, and bones began to join to bones. A miracle unfolded before him. He later prophesied to the breath (wind) which entered the lifeless bodies and they became living beings. So, our victory lies in taking the words of God and making them ours.
The Word of God is God Himself. If God cannot fail, His Word cannot fail. He said in Isaiah 55:11 that the Word that has gone out of His mouth will not return void without achieving the purpose for which He sent it. Decide today to be the prophet of your life and destiny; prophesy and say what you want to see in every area of your life. Begin to speak to your ‘dry bones’ (dead relationships, prayer life, finance, business, joy, career, dreams, visions, dead body parts, dead marriages, dead hope, dead emotions, etc.) and they will come back to life.
A closed mouth is a closed destiny. Open your mouth wide, and God will fill it!
