But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. – I Peter 5:10
I Peter 5:10
In yesterday’s episode, we saw that God’s will for you this year is for you to be established in Him. He wants you to be deeply rooted in Him, so you won’t be blown away by every wind of doctrine and more especially so that the structures of your life will be strong & outlast you.
It will take deliberate seeking and pursuing after God on your part to deepen and strengthen your roots in God. However, when you are deeply rooted in Him, you become immovable, steadfast, firm and established. That is when God can use you more, when His power can flow through you more, and you can be trusted with BIG THINGS! So ultimately, the strength of your spirituality determines the weight of responsibility God can commit to you.
In addition to your spiritual roots, God is equally concerned about your roots in other areas of your life – business, marriage, career, academics, relationships, ministry, etc., however, your spiritual root is the foundation which sustains these other areas. God wants you settled permanently as revealed in today’s text, He wants you to be a force to be reckoned with and to have the capacity to grow, expand and take territories.
You have to be deliberate this year. Take a look at everything you do or are involved in and ask yourself if it is structured for the long haul. Is it established? What will you do to make it an establishment? How will you develop roots to carry it through tough times and to handle big things? Why? Because your foundation determines what you can carry and what you can withstand.
May God establish you and settle you, in Jesus name!
Psalm 11:3, John 15:4-8 & Daniel 11:32b.
+ Ask for grace to be deliberate in developing strong roots that will establish you spirit, soul and body.
+ Pray that God will bless every effort you make towards your establishment.
