“For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.” ~ Deuteronomy 2:7
REFERENCE:
A mind battle most believers fight is wondering if God is with them on their journeys. When we pass through difficult times or desires delay, we wonder if God still cares or remembers us. As we begin a new year, let the journey of Israel in the wilderness be an encouragement to you. As you trudge through the days of the year, know that God is with you.
The presence of God in the life of any man makes all the difference for him. Israel was sustained in a desert land for forty years simply because God was with them. He accompanied them on their journey. His presence was their greatest possession because it brought everything they needed to them. David said, “You, Lord, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands” (Psalm 16:5 GNT). He who has God has in Him all he needs.
Throughout Israel’s journey, God became their mobile fountain of living waters and their bread of life. His presence communicated lasting pleasures to them. It meant security and protection, for He commanded kings not to touch His anointed. It also meant supernatural favor and access, bringing them out of a difficulty by parting the Red Sea. They had so many supplies that He told them they should buy their food when in Esau’s territory. They were blessed!
As a New Testament believer, God is not only with you, He is in you. If He did all these with the people He walked with, imagine what He will do in the life of a person He lives in. What you should do differently this year is to walk consciously of the presence of God, communicate with Him, and acknowledge His place in your life. Do away with anxiety; He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Therefore, declare that, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.”
God was aware of every day Israel spent in the desert; He was their all-inclusive insurance cover. Likewise, this year God will make a way out of no way. He will provide for you in dire situations and give you money to pay for your needs. He will heal you of infirmity in body or mind and put the terror of you upon satan and his minions. God will also give you wells you did not dig, houses you did not build, and vineyards you did not plant. Fear not, God is with you!
