Mark 4:26-29
A seed is a flowering plant’s unit of reproduction, capable of developing into another such plant. It is anything that can multiply and become more if sown in the proper soil. When an orange seed is planted in the right soil, it be-comes an orange tree with time. This is a natural law – an established principle and so it must be fulfilled. In like manner, when a seed (money, time, service,) is planted in the kingdom of God, with time, it brings forth a harvest because it is a spiritual law which is established and must be fulfilled.
Genesis 8:22 reveals that as long as the earth still exists, harvest will always follow seedtime; and today’s passage describes the unnoticeable but definite growth process of any seed sown in this wise:
a. Scatter seeds on the ground – the first step to getting a harvest is planting a seed, so never miss an opportunity to plant seeds (give).
b. Sleep by night and rise by day – after planting your seed, don’t live in anxiety on how it will grow. Go about your normal activities expecting that your harvest will come at the appointed time.
c. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade – the law of seedtime and harvest goes to work on your behalf, it causes your seed to germinate and brings the first signs of your harvest.
d. When the grain ripens, the harvest comes- when your seed is fully developed, it brings your full harvest. More like, “If the clouds are full of rain, they empty out on the land…” (Ecclesiastes 11:3).
When your seed leaves your hands, it never leaves your life; be assured that if you ever have a seed or seeds in the ground, harvest WILL come. You have God’s guarantee on it.

Thank You Lord for the law of seedtime and harvest is at work in my life. My seeds are not wasted and I will never suffer any form of crop failure. I declare, “Today I receive bountiful harvests for seeds sown in Jesus’ name.”

Its so reassuring knowing we do not lose when we give, we’re rather sowing instead. Lord, may my seeds be as bountiful as my expected harvest.
