“Now the man Moses was very humble (modest, meek & self-effacing), more than all men who were on the face of the earth.” – Numbers 12:3 (AMP).

We live in a world where people like to brag and reel out their credentials to oppress others or avoid others looking down on them. The entertainment industry thrives on vanity, showing off wealth, followership, and accomplishments. Musicians sing about making money and getting girls; wrestlers and boxers call themselves by names that make them appear larger-than-life, and politicians speak derogatorily and rudely to their opponents.
However, humility is of great value before God; He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humility is freedom from pride or arrogance; it is being down-to-earth, modest, and a picture of power under control. Moses exemplified these qualities. Although a prince of Egypt who saw God in the burning bush, called to lead a nation, and had unveiled conversations with God, yet, it is recorded that he was the meekest of all men. Moses prayed for those who belittled his authority instead of calling fire on them. He never put himself ahead of the people in any form of privilege or advantage. He walked with them.
A humble man has God to fight for him as He did for Moses. You may think he is so low and can be trampled upon, but he stands upon Christ the solid Rock, and the Rock will fight for him. Miriam and Aaron would come to regret their affront of Moses, because his God appeared to fight them in His ‘war clothes’ – in dazzling glory. Humility is the way up; see the honor God gave Moses for being meek and humble. Jesus said, “He who wants to be the greatest, let him be the servant of all.” Mensah Otabil said, “If you are too big to do small tasks, then you are too small to be trusted with big ones.” George Washington was once fox hunting with a group of friends. While passing through a field, his horse jumped over a stone wall and knocked off a stone. He immediately stopped, got down from his horse, and replaced the stone. One of his friends said, “You are too big a man to bother with that.” He replied gently, “No, I am just the right size.”
Decide today to humble yourself, be kind and gentle to all, and give up the need to be regarded, respected, or recognized by men. Decide to be pleasing to God; honor all men, regard the lowly, and be kind to the weak. The God who gives grace to the humble and blesses the meek will cause you to inherit the high-places of the earth. He will honor you before all men and cause greatness to locate you effortlessly, in Jesus’ name.

a. Dear Lord, show me areas of my life that are not yet submitted to You.

c. Father, I pray that the elevation, honor, and promotion that come from You will locate me today.
Thank you Father for this kingdom principle. Therefore I confess that I will not be selfish; and not try to impress others. I will be humble, thinking of others as better than I am through Christ who strengthens me. Amen 🙏🏽
