But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me… – Jeremiah 9:24
REFERENCE
Jeremiah 9:23-24
The solution to the problems of this world will be found in God, not in religion – that is why He desires that we know Him intimately. God speaking through Jeremiah says, the essence of life is not in our wisdom, or skills, accomplishments or riches. But our boast and focus in life must be that we know and understand God.
God’s eyes run to and fro the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). This means He cannot accomplish as much as He would want with a believer who is passionless and casual about seeking Him. Sadly though, many Christians know God, but few know Him intimately.
Intimately means – Closely, warmly or familiarly. So, this is knowing God closely for yourself, not by what your Pastor or a preacher on TV said. It takes a vibrancy of relationship with God to be your best, to realize your potentials; the breath of the Holy Spirit becomes your source of inspiration.
Today God is saying, “COME TO ME. There is more to your life than you are right now, your ultimate self-discovery is in Me.” Harken to His voice!
