“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” ~ Philippians 3:13
REFERENCE:
Happy New Year! Wow, you made it into another year. We praise the name of the Lord. I declare prophetically, “It gets better from here.” The fact that God brought you into a new year shows that He is still working on you and will improve on your experiences so far in the past year. He will convert failure to success and take your achievements to a better level.
This is a prophetic declaration to you who feel worn and tired, battling disappointments, betrayals, and a sense of loss. It is easy to predict the coming year by your painful experiences of the last year, but that will be a great mistake. Your experience must submit to God’s word and not vice versa. All it takes God to change a man’s life is one move. May it happen this year.
Prophetically, ‘better’ says that your life from here on, compared to before, will be of a more excellent quality. In seemingly setbacks, God will work out better for you. You will be better off on all sides when He is done with you, with more fruitful outcomes. God will raise you from a painful failure and give you gainful success; He will move you forward and upward. He will ignore your present condition and make this new year sweeter than your last.
Paul knew God as a progressive God who moves us from glory to glory. Having encountered God, he said, “Things can be better than they are now; I may not hold the promise in my hands yet, but it gets better from here. I have had some success but there is still more; I have touched some things in life, but there are things ahead that I must touch.” Paul looked for the better.
On this first day of the year, pause and speak into the year’s days, weeks, and months and declare:
It gets better from here. Each day will be better than the previous, and I will end the year with testimonies of liftings, stories of favor, unexpected promotions, selections for honor, and dignified appointments. I will meet with people who will make my life better and those whose lives I will make better. Lord, You make everything beautiful; make this year better for me.

PRAYER:
“As I step into this new year, I declare that changing times and seasons will be in my favor. I step away from the pain, betrayal, or setback that characterized my past and put my hand in God’s to lead me to a place called better in this new year. I prophesy over my life, family, career, finances, relationships, etc., “IT GET’S BETTER FROM HERE, in Jesus’ name.”
