“Pharaoh also said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without your consent, no man may lift his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 41:44

GENESIS 41:44-49

Joseph was thirty years old when he became a Prince in Egypt, after being given the stamp of approval by Pharoah. Pharoah chose Joseph over his counselors because authority gravitates toward those who solve problems and have the ‘Spirit of God’ in them. If they could not interpret the dream, they could not have resolved the famine. Although a young man, Joseph’s age did not matter as much as the wisdom and favor of God upon his life.

In Job 32:6-9, Elihu said he was young in years and was afraid to declare his opinions to the aged ones. He said, “Age should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. Great men are not always wise: Neither do the aged understand judgment.” God is willing to raise young men like Joseph in HIS church and Nigeria; youths who are God-focused, who use their energy and gifts to solve present social problems, and who are in pursuit of God and their dreams, seeing that wisdom and leadership are never a function of age.

David became King when he was 30 years old (2 Samuel 5:4). Ezekiel became a Prophet when he was 30 years old (Ezekiel 1:1). Jesus officially started his ministry at age 30. (Luke 3:23). Do not let anyone despise your youth. Joseph did not keep silent because counselors older than him were at a loss of what to do; he proffered the solution. You may be surrounded by those older and more experienced, but the Spirit of God will set you apart (say, Amen!).

Persevere! You will fulfill your call and become a Prince that God will entrust with prosperity, prominence, and power! Nations will hear and come to you; Kings will come to the brightness of your rising. So, even when you can’t see God’s hands, just trust His heart and know that everything is working for your good.  May God do a work in your life that will make those who used to know you find it difficult to recognize you, in Jesus’ name!

CONFESSION

Nobody can stop what God has ordained me to become. I will keep dreaming because dreamers are ‘un-killable’. God will always raise a deliverer for me and deliver me from the evil plots of wicked men. HE will cause a voice to speak in my favor in places of relevance and authority so that my dreams become a reality. What is meant to demote me, will promote me. I will live to see the prize of my sacrifice. Promotion and prosperity come to me because I am inventive and ingenious, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
