“It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep.” – Psalms 127:2.
REFERENCE:
A clergyman badly wanted his wayward son saved. He prayed, fasted, preached to him, and got him out of jail as often as he got jailed. He could not bear the thought that he had such a son as a pastor. One day while praying, God spoke: “I cannot help you with your son because you hold on too tightly to him. If you will let him go, I will save him.” That very day, he released the boy totally to God. The next time he was asked to bail his son, he told the police he did not have a son by that name. It was tough, but he had given his son to God! Nine months later, his son came home in his right mind, well-dressed, born again, and apologized to his father. He was now a preacher of the gospel. God saved him in jail!
God is calling you to surrender – taking your hands off the wheel and letting God drive. It takes faith; absolute trust in God. How do you release the wheel to Hands that you cannot see? It is our inability to do this that gets us anxious. We misunderstand Joshua 1:8, “Make your way prosperous,” and we run ahead of God, hustling and struggling, taking the place of God. Slow down so you do not end up frustrated. Proverbs 19:3 says, “A man may ruin his chances by his own foolishness and then blame it on the Lord!” You are only permitted to run when God has said, ‘Run!’ “Except the Lord builds a house, they labor in vain who build.”
A man hanging by a rope from a cliff was on the verge of giving up. He had been there for hours, crying, “Help; anybody there?” Finally, a voice replied, “Yes, I will help you, I AM GOD!” The guy was delighted, and he said, “Thank God”. Then God said, “Let go of the rope and I will help you.” He doubted God would put him in a place where his fate was not in his hands. He had to be sure that he had things in his hands and control. He called out, ignoring God, “Anybody else!?”
You cannot keep looking up, down, or around all at the same time. You cannot say you trust God and not let go; there must be a corresponding action of trust. David said, “There is no want for them that trust Him” Learn to swim in the abundance of God by taking your mind away from needs. Do not be ‘need’ conscious but ‘supply’ conscious; then, you can rest in God’s rest! “If God can clothe the fields and meadows with grass and flowers, can he not clothe you as well, O struggling one with so many doubts?”– Luke 12:28 (TPT). Do not let worry, anxiety, and stress rule or destroy your life and passion. Trust! Let go and let God have the wheel!

PRAYERS
Lord, I surrender to Your care. I take my hands off the wheel of my life and trust You to drive me on the best path for my life. I will not be anxious because You have promised to supply my need according to Your riches in glory through Christ Jesus. You are a loving Father and I am your child; I trust and rest in You. Thank You because You watch over Your promises to perform them. Amen.
I rest completely in Your love, care, and power.
I’m done running around and stressing over things I have no idea how to fix. God, I surrender all to you. If you want me to do something about it, show me what I need to do. Until then, I’m going to breathe, relax and trust you to handle it. #Rest #iRest
Lord, I choose to be ‘supply’ conscious and take my eyes off my needs as I rest in Your love and care for me!
