The 6th thing you need to do in refining your gift, is to learn to add seasoning i.e. flavor to what you do. Develop your own style and put proper finishing touches to whatever you do in order to create a better appeal. The next thing, is to dedicate a lot of time thinking about better ways to use your gifts; plan your business in your mind. Strategize!
Finally, pray about your gift. Pray for wisdom, creativity, opportunities, right timing, and especially for the right people that will value your gifts to come your way.
There are many people who fail to profit from their efforts because of an unwillingness to add finishing touches to their work.
Cain and Abel both brought an offering to God in Genesis 4:3-7 (this can be likened to two people doing the same thing). God accepted Abel’s( he went the extra mile), but rejected Cain’s and told him to do better so his offering can also be accepted. There is no magic to it, do well with your gift, and what you have to offer will be accepted.
People who have refined their gifts are highly sought after and they get referrals from their clients. That is when you hear people say, ‘go to that Lawyer, Caterer, Architect, Painter, Printer, Doctor, Bank, Church, Fashion designer,’ etc,.
Those who refuse to improve, will always remain ‘under-performers who are under-valued and under-paid.’ Remember, It is God’s will for you to succeed, fulfill His purpose and enrich your world with the gifts He bestowed on you.
May you be FRUITFUL and FULFILL purpose this FRIDAY!
