“The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies.” ~ Psalm 110:2
REFERENCE:
No king who rules without power. To walk in our dominion and authority over dark powers, we must dominate by power. The only language the devil understands is power, and the way to generate that power is through prevailing prayers. As a believer, you must prioritize power generation; if you don’t, you will be like a man who has a gun (authority) but is unable to pull the trigger.
When God told Adam to “subdue the earth,” He wanted Him to bring under, conquer by force, and bring all the forces on earth into permanent subjection. Satan and his agents will not yield willingly; they must be subdued and overcome by force, and the way to generate that force is by prayers. Have you noticed how insistent and persistent some negative situations can be? It indicates that if you must see them change, you must rule them by power.
Today, we read a Messianic Psalm about how Jesus would rule over His enemies. He would do it by sending out the rod of His strength (the rod is a symbol of power and authority). The life of Jesus reveals His dominion over demons, sickness, and death. Jesus could sit at God’s right hand because, by demonstrations of power, He ruled over satan, making him his footstool.
We contend against hostile demonic forces. Be ready to rule by power and bring all opposition into permanent subjection. Your authority will often be resisted, promotion will be debated, progress will be opposed, and your victory will be challenged. Nothing comes on a platter of gold; only on the day of ‘your power’ can you expect the submission of hostile forces.
To rule by power, you must understand spiritual realities; we fight against dark disembodied spirits who rule in the heavenlies and are your avowed enemies. However, we have the antidote – power, and we generate this power by prayer. A heartfelt prayer generates power that the forces of darkness cannot resist. It empowers with a strong consciousness of divine authority and empowers you to rule by power.
