“…Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, after three days I will rise.” ~ Matthew 27:63
REFERENCE:
Jesus was crucified on a Friday; He said He would rise on the third day, which He did on Sunday morning. However, my mind goes to Saturday, the day between Jesus’s death and resurrection. It represents the place between a promise and its fulfillment. How did the disciples feel? I imagine them in despair, confused, unsure, and mourning. Will Sunday come?
How do you live through the ‘Saturdays’ of life, waiting for a promise? You are not where you were nor where you hope to be; you are waiting, yet heaven seems silent. While the disciples mourned, satan and his demons gloated: they had put the final nail to the coffin and dealt with the Jesus problem. Pilate, too, boasted of tight security at the tomb to prevent Jesus ‘escape.’ However, the clock was ticking in heaven, and when the next day came, Jesus arose.
In the Saturday season, everything seems to collapse around you, and life seems formless, void, and dark. It is a season when meaning is lost, and everything is monotonously the same. Life may have put you in a ‘Saturday,’ where everything appears to be at a standstill. The door to your fulfillment may seem securely shut with no hope or likelihood of escaping the bad situation into rich fulfillment. However, the clock is ticking, and your Sunday is coming!
Most heroes of faith went through Saturday seasons (between a promise and its fulfillment). Moses spent his Saturday as a fugitive in the wilderness. David was promised the throne, but he spent his Saturday running for his life. Abraham almost ruined his legacy because his Saturday of waiting for a child lingered. However, like Jesus, who rose on Sunday, these all came out of their Saturday and turned into ‘Sunday.’ It is only a matter of time; the clock is ticking. Tick, tock, tick, tock.
Weeping may have endured for the night in your life, but God’s divine intervention will wipe away every tear. Your Saturday will give way to Sunday. God will reverse everything the devil has done in your life. You will not remain in an in-between place for the rest of your life. Jesus died and rose from the dead so you can also rise again. Hold on! You will have the last laugh!

CONFESSION
Dear Lord, You left the grave behind; I am also leaving every grave situation behind me. My Saturday of waiting gives way to a Sunday of rejoicing now. I will see the fulfillment of Your promise in my life; although it tarries, it will surely come to pass. Weeping has endured in my life, but I call forth my Sunday of recovery. I decree a reversal of all evil occurrences in my life, and I step into my place of divine settlement in Jesus’ name.
