But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come. – Mark 4:29

Mark 4:26-29
A seed is a flowering plant’s unit of reproduction, capable of developing into another such plant. It is anything that can multiply and become more if sown in the proper soil. When an orange seed is planted in the right soil, it becomes an orange tree with time. This is a natural law (an established principle) and so it must be fulfilled. In the same way, when ‘seeds’ are planted in the kingdom of God, they bring forth harvests with time because a spiritual law must also be fulfilled.
Our text teaches this spiritual law through the unnoticeable but definite growth of any seed sown.
a. ‘Scatter seeds on the ground.’ Be generous with your seeds and never miss an opportunity to sow.
b. ‘Sleep by night and rise by day.’ Don’t be a seed sower and live an anxious life. Rest in God’s grace to cause your seed to germinate. Go about your normal activities expecting that your harvest will come at the appointed season.
c. ‘He knows not how the seed will grow.’ You have done your part of sowing. Trust that God is committed to do his part of growing and fruitage. You can’t tell where your harvest will come from.
d. ‘The Harvest is come!’ This is God’s assurance that YOU WILL GET A HARVEST. Be assured that if you ever have a seed or seeds in the ‘soil’, harvest WILL come. You have God’s guarantee on it.
The ‘Law’ of seed, time and harvest is at work, so your harvest is not lost. Your seed may leave your hands, but it never leaves your life. In this year of ‘#Upgrade,’ upgrade your seed sowing, because certain levels of demands require certain levels of deposits. Do not let the ‘times’ tie your hands and choke the spirit of giving (generosity) in you.
TRUTH: The destiny of a good seed in a good soil is a good crop!
May your sown seeds bring you FRUITS this Friday!
