If you use a Windows computer, you should know the term ‘system restore.’ It is a feature that allows users to revert their computer’s system files, settings, and programs to a previous point in time, called a “restore point.” I hear God saying, “Reset;” He wants to give you a system restore, taking you back to a (restore) point where life was a whole lot better for you.
For system restore to happen in a computer, the user must, at different times, create restore points (like memorable landmarks) where if anything happens to his system later, he would not mind returning to. Is there a time in your life that your mind keeps going back to and wishing God could make things as good as then – when marriage, health, and finances were great?
If you identify a restore point, the Spirit says, ‘God will reset things and make them better. God will press the ‘reset’ button and restore your fortunes. A system often needs system restore because of harmful software, virus infection, or system crashes. Life, marriage, career, or finance may be crashing around you because you introduced a virus through some offense, mistake, or moral failure, and your system is now unresponsive or slow. God will give you a system restore.
Prophet Joel pictures the nation of Israel ravaged by an invasion of soldier-like locusts for years. These brought devastation to the nation and a total collapse of all agricultural produce; their wheat was gone, grape vines destroyed, and the fig trees ruined. The nation was on the verge of total collapse, yet God promised them a system restore; “I will restore to you the years…”
We often lose and think we can never regain time, but God says, I will restore the years or time that you lost. God wants to undo everything done by satan and his agents and restore whatever was damaged by the passage of time. May God’s system restore take you back to when you were fit and healthy, business was good, before the heartbreak, and when you could afford to take your family on short vacations, in Jesus’ name. Don’t worry; God is able.
