Psalm 44:1-8
To be favored means, you have been given preferential treatment or shown a special privilege in getting something you didn’t struggle or qualify for. The psalmist here talks about the favor of God upon his ancestors which upgraded them to “landowners’ status” even when they didn’t work for it. A careful study of the bible reveals several occasions where God single-handedly picked unknown people (e.g. Esther, Daniel, Ruth, Noah, etc,) to show them His unmerited favor, by positively changing their lives.
As a believer also, it was the favor of God that put you in right standing with God; you didn’t work for it, God gave you SALVATION as a gift. Therefore, since God has already favored you with His greatest gift – His son, there is no reason why you shouldn’t experience His favor in the other aspects of your life. In fact, the super-naturalness of your results should point to the truth that you are highly favored.
One way you can see daily favors in your life is by entreating God for it. You have to ask Him to manifest His favor in every situation you face (Matthew 7:7). Another way is by speaking favor over the affairs of your life, because you have what you say (Mark 11:23).
Do note however, that God uses people to favor you, so you have to position yourself to receive from them. By positioning, it means having the right conduct and attitude. Nobody wants to do favors for a mean, pompous, ungrateful or rude person even when God has put it in their hearts to do so. Remember, ‘Man looks at the outside…’ (1 Samuel 16:7).
THE LORD’S FAVOR WILL GIVE YOU THE GOOD YOU DON’T DESERVE IN JESUS NAME!
