For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” – Romans 1:17
REFERENCE
Romans 1:16-17
As a Christian, God designed you to walk and live by faith (look at the limitations of our make-up – we are not omniscient, not omnipotent and not omnipresent). He is a faith God who fashioned you in His image; therefore, you can only function optimally when you are operating by faith, not by circumstances. Faith then is our compensation for our human limitation – it can now make us do what we ordinarily cannot do.
God did not plan for our lives to follow the natural order of things – we are not to be subject to the things that the people of this world are subject to – we have a covenant of exemption. Faith is that covenant! Faith is the hallmark of the believer; we are called believers because we believe.
So what is faith? Simply put, “It is the totality of man walking in agreement with God’s Word.” This means, faith cannot operate where the Word of God is not known. The potency of your faith is largely dependent on your literacy of the Word. Faith is putting God’s Word to work and not waiting on God to work.
As you plan, and you must, you must provoke your plans into actions and reality, by faith. Faith must subdue the vicissitudes of life and take charge of unknown variables to turn them in your favor. That is why Paul said; “The just shall live by faith, not just by His plans.”
The thing about faith is that, it is one currency that delivers the same value everywhere and makes the same purchase anytime. It is a universal legal tender. The language of God to the man of faith is, whosoever wills, let him come!
