“May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” ~ Ruth 2:12
REFERENCE:
A reward is given in return for a good done or received, or offered or given for some service or attainment. It is similar to awards given to people because they merited it; however, I like to differentiate them like this – men can give you accolades and awards, but only God can reward you. It is why Boaz prayed for Ruth, “A full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel.”
One of the reasons we often battle with discouragement is when we think no one appreciates or sees that we are trying. It is worse when we believe God does not care or regard our prayers, service, sacrifices, giving, evangelism, etc., and satan likes to echo this in our ears. However, God sees, knows, and cares. He is a reward for those who diligently seek Him.
Many scriptures tell of God’s readiness to reward His children. “God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love….” Hebrews 6:10. “I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain….” Isaiah 45:19. “The fruit of the womb is a reward,” Psalm 127:3. It is not the desire of God that those who serve Him will go unrewarded; the bible says, “He delights in the well-being of His servants.” God is bound by His word; He will ensure that you get the reward of the Lord.
You may have wondered if God sees or takes into account your love for and service to Him; He does. He will repay you for all your prayers, service, giving, sacrificing for His kingdom, investing in His work, etc. Your going to church will not be in vain; soon, God will make your life show the reward of the Lord. When it happens, it will be worth every investment of prayer and service.
This season, you will get a full reward from God. He will satisfy your life with good things. He will reward you with the fruit of the womb, career success, good health, long life, peace of mind, godly children, a happy home, and a fulfilled life. Isaiah said, “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them.” I tell you, “It shall be well with you. It shall be well with your family, business, and studies. You will end well and laugh last. You will receive the reward of the Lord.”

PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for being ever so mindful of me and making me a recipient of Your reward in times past. I ask You again to bring me into a season of reward, compensation, and pleasant paybacks. I receive the reward of the Lord as an answer to my deepest need that I might rejoice and testify, in Jesus’ name.
