“…the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.” – Mark 8:31

REFERENCE:

Mark 8:27-33

You should be familiar with the slogan used by many freedom fighters, workers’ unions, and student unions across the globe – ‘Aluta Continua; Victoria Ascerta.’ It is of Latin origin, meaning, ‘The Struggle Continues; Victory is Certain.’ Whether you are in a civil group fighting for justice or not, life is full of struggles, but the assurance in God is that victory is certain. That is the assurance God wants to fill your heart with today.

The words of Jesus are comforting. He prophetically spoke about His coming suffering (struggle) with a dose of certainty. He said, “I will suffer many things; I will be rejected by the religious leaders, and I will be killed.” These were unavoidable events that must happen. However, with the same sense of conviction, certainty, and assurance, Jesus said, “…and after three days, I WILL RISE AGAIN.” As surely as the bad would happen, the good would most definitely come to pass. The presence of one assures the reality of the other.

With the same vehemence and determination with which bad things seem to come, good also has an appointment it must keep with you. Your ‘struggles’ may be real and seem to have lasted, but Victoria Ascerta – Your victory is certain (sure, definite, assured, and undeniable). There may be persecution, rejection, or opposition, but your resurrection will manifest; let there be delays, but your expectations shall surely and speedily come!

God has the antidote for any poison hell can produce. He does not just take out the poison but injects new life into you; He does not only take away the trouble, He brings opportunities. The glory of your victory will outweigh and outshine the burden of your struggle. The blessings you will access by your victory will wipe away the bad experiences that came with your struggles, pain, or losses. Just as the resurrected Christ is more glorious than the suffering Christ, you will come out better on the other side of whatever you are going through presently. Satan will not have the last say over your life; you will sing your victory song, and I will sing along with you; Victoria Ascerta!”

PRAYERS:

I decree and declare that your struggles will give way to victory. Everything and everyone working against you will begin to work in your favor by the move of the Holy Spirit.
