WE SEE JESUS – 2

“You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” – Hebrews 2:8

Man failed to fulfill his dominion mandate, but Jesus came to restore it by His sacrificial death and His example on earth. Hebrews reveals that judging man by this mandate, he seems not to have all things subject to him; rather, he is in subjection. Jesus took on human flesh to live out the dominion mandate; He had all things subject under His feet, showing man how to walk in dominion. We may not see man living in that dominion, but we see Jesus doing so. Any man who wants to understand how to live and walk in dominion should look and see Jesus.

Let us see Jesus and how He exercised dominion while He lived on earth. We see Jesus

Exercise dominion over animate nature: He cursed the fig tree and caused it to wither overnight; He caused the fish that once avoided Peter to rush into his net in a net-breaking measure. He walked on water. He compressed the process of wine-making into minutes by turning water into wine. He charged us to exercise the same authority. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Defy the laws of nature and all mathematical formulae: He fed 5,000 men with 5 loaves and 2 fish. In another instance, He fed a crowd of 4,000 men, besides women and children. You can expect God to supply your needs when your resources don’t hold much promise. Paul said, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory…” God is bigger than your pocket. If you can see Jesus doing it, you can see yourself doing it. God is your source.

Command the obedience and compliance of natural catastrophes: Jesus was confronted twice with a storm; He walked on water; the other time, He rebuked (chided or forbade) the wind and spoke to the sea, and they both obeyed Him. He has given you and I the keys of the kingdom of heaven so that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven and if we (by an authoritative decree) loosen anything here on earth, it will be loosened in heaven.                      

Jesus is our model as believers; He came to show us how to live victorious lives, not as wimps intimidated by satan or as victims of life’s circumstances. If Jesus did it once and promised you the same, then it can be yours. Dominion, victory, good health, miracles, power, and wealth, are all yours, in Jesus’ name. If you doubt these, SEE JESUS!

Lord, all I see Jesus do, I do, and greater works than these I will do. My health, business, family, and the totality of my life will display greater works. I see Jesus’ authority and dominion over nature and circumstances; therefore, I live in victory over all challenges of life. All things work for my good, and my God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ.
