“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.” – Hebrews 2:9.
REFERENCE:
In the beginning, God gave man dominion and put all created things under him. When he fell through rebellion against God, man forfeited this honor and lost his position of authority. Creation was no longer subject to him, but he became subject to nature and the elements. However, Jesus came to redeem man and restore him to his initial authority, dominion, and ultimately to God. Hence, we no longer see man in dominion, but our text says, “but WE SEE JESUS…” He came in human flesh and showed us what it means to operate in dominion and authority.
What do we SEE IN JESUS that reveals our dominion and authority in Christ? We see Jesus:
Overcome satan and his temptations – Jesus, our High Priest, was tempted in all points, but He did not sin. He was tempted to ‘sin’ by satan in the wilderness, but He overcame. Since Jesus overcame sinful temptations, you can also. God is faithful; He will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape for you.
Exercise dominion and authority over demons – Jesus cast devils out with His word as seen when He ordered their legion out of a demoniac. By His death on the cross, Jesus stripped satan of his power and openly disgraced him and his demons. Colossians 2:15 (Message) says, “Think of it! All sins are forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.” Wow! Glory-Hallelujah!
Forgiving sins – “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins…He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” This singular act showed Jesus’ divinity and that He has an audience with God; it showed His capacity to reconcile man to God. In John 20, He breathed the Holy Spirit on His disciples, gave them the same power to forgive sins, end enmity between man and God, and reconcile them to God.
Whatever we see in Jesus, Jesus wants to see in us. He has been through whatever you are going through, and He overcame. By His death and resurrection, He has given you the power to exercise dominion and overcome satan and His works. Therefore, look to Him, see Jesus!

PRAYER POINTS
+ As I fix my gaze on Jesus, I begin to experience a turnaround in my life, my health, my finances, and creation is subject to me.
+ I see Jesus and walk in the consciousness that my standing in this world is identical to Christ’s, and therefore I exercise dominion and authority in every sphere of my life.
As He is, so am I in this world!
I refuse to keep my gaze on the frailty, weakness, impossibility or failures around me.
I SEE JESUS! I see the victory and the power of Christ at work in, through, and around me!
Hallelujah!!!!
Amen
I take my eyes off the raging winds and unstable waves.
I see Jesus now crowned with Glory and honour in me and through me !
