“In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” – Genesis 22:18
REFERENCE:
Abraham’s life speaks to men today. He lived by faith and followed God in uncertain seasons of life. He also had moments of weakness and struggled with delayed desires. He was a rich man, perhaps, one of the richest in his days, but he kept a good conscience before God and man.
Certain traits have immortalized the person and name of Abraham:
a. A God-Lover: Abraham’s wealth did not affect his devotion to God. He built altars wherever he went. He was quick to obey God and to do His pleasure. He would forgo anything for God, even his own son. He was a man of prayer, which was evident when he interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah.
b. He Valued Relationships (with God and man): Abraham had a money-grabbing nephew as a business associate, but he never let it ruin their relationship. He was willing to forgo a juicy business prospect, confident that God would bring other opportunities. He did not harbor any resentment towards Lot but rallied his private army to rescue him when he was in trouble.
c. He Was a Man of Faith: Money often causes us to shelve our walk of faith, preferring to trust what money can do. In dire situations, we say, “How much?” instead of “What Lord?” Abraham was a man of means, but he walked by faith and lived solely by God’s leading.
d. He Was a Generational Thinker: He realized that families of the earth would be blessed through him. He, therefore, secured the land of Israel for His descendants after him. He led his family to follow God, which made God say He could not hide his plans from Abraham.
e. He Conquered Money: He gave God a 10th of his spoils of war, thereby acknowledging God as his Source. He committed to clean money and untainted wealth; He vowed to God that he would not take even a single thread from the King of Sodom, so no one would say, ‘Abram is rich because of what I gave him!’ He chose to live a faultless and modest life.
These are values that we all (men & women) should strive to imbibe and bear fruits in.

PRAYER POINTS
+ Father, I let go of every bitterness, hurt, disappointment, and betrayal from my family members, friends, colleagues, partners, church, etc. Cleanse my heart and take away every weight besetting me.
+ I ask for the grace to be single-eyed and focused on your promises so I do not miss your plans and purposes for my life. I will live a life of faith believing that all You promised, You will do.
+ Father, because of your blessing upon my life, from today, I choose to be a generational thinker with an institutional outlook so that everything I embark on, will be done with the future in mind. Give me the grace to lead my family to follow You, Lord.
What am I doing today that will secure a better tomorrow for my children’s children? That is the question.
#GenerationalThinking
Amen 🙏🏽
Lord, I pray for these attributes into my spirit that I will possess them and even more in Jesus’ name
Amen 🙏🏼
I wish all those who claim their faith descended from Abraham also read this and see what manner of man Abraham was. He valued relationships … and was a man of peace. He only went to war to recover his nephew and never to amass loot.
Father I pray for the grace to take up these traits as a guide , and let it be applicable to my sons, Amen!
That I may grow my relationship with God to a point where he can say of me “I cannot hide my plans from Blessing”.🙌
What a man!!!
Father, give me the grace to focused on You and on Your promises knowing that whatever You have promised, that You will do, in Jesus name, Amen.
Amen!
