Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” ~ III John 2
REFERENCE:
God made you in His image so you would look and function like Him. You are to be a reflection of His essence here on earth. His fullness should be your identifying mark. He made you to be His billboard and prototype on earth, and He wants you to be whole and well. You are an epistle for all men to read and copy.
Jesus said, “Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.” God’s revelation to a dying world is revealed to men through you and I. We must strive in faith to ensure that no sector of our lives brings reproach to the name of God but that we reveal His grace and glory. The queen of Sheba saw God in Solomon’s wisdom, wealth, and kingdom; Naaman saw God in Elisha when he experienced a miracle; Ruth saw God in Naomi and followed her when it had no promise.
3 John 2 captures God’s word to you this year. It reveals God’s tripartite prosperity plan for you (spirit, body, and soul). God will give you a total makeover and divine facelift and bring you to a place of wholeness and wellness. God wants to put His signature in every area of your life and give you a total overhaul until you have all-round success. Say, “I am whole and well.”
An incomplete testimony is a smear on the name of God. God is not glorified by poverty, pain, shame, or sickness; such an existence displeases God. God wants your life to represent Him well; this is why Jesus died to make you whole and new. He wants to remove every area of reproach and make your testimony complete. He wants to be seen all over and around you.
Do you know why Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, gave sight to the blind, or supplied wine at a wedding ceremony to prevent shame? Why did He spend time teaching us about the principles of the Kingdom of God? Because He wanted us to see ourselves the way God planned and live according to the original plan. All Jesus came to do was press the ‘reset’ button. As you journey into the year, I pray you will be whole and well, in Jesus’ name.
