“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” ~ Mark 4:39
REFERENCE:
Have you found yourself in adverse winds and storms? Jesus is with you, and your boat won’t sink. He has not brought you this far to abandon you. He has the power to calm every raging storm, so fear not in that overwhelming situation; Jesus is in control; trust Him. This storm will not see your end; you will yet go on more adventures for God and see better days – AMEN!
Jesus and His disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee in a boat. Suddenly, a fierce storm arose, threatening to capsize it and endangering their lives. The disciples were fearful for their lives, but Jesus was asleep in the stern of the boat. In response to their cries for help, He awoke and rebuked the wind and the waves, commanding them to be still. This action revealed His authority over nature and reassured His disciples of His divine presence and protection.
Storms can evoke fear and anxiety, especially when it seems like the waves of adversity are about to overwhelm us. David said, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though…the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam…” (Psalm 46). Even when our circumstances seem dire, we can take refuge in the unshakeable assurance of God’s presence and protection
Know this: amid life’s storms, God is at work, orchestrating His plans and purposes for us. You may be wondering why it appears that Jesus is sleeping and not aware of your dire straits. It may seem so, but I assure you, He is working. What seems like a perilous situation will ultimately be used by God to bring about blessings and breakthroughs beyond our imagination.
Imagine a ship caught in a fierce storm, buffeted by powerful winds and towering waves. Yet, the vessel remains afloat, guided by the skilled hands of the captain. Jesus is the captain of our ship, steering us through the turbulent waters of life’s storms. Though the winds and the waves may assail you, your boat won’t sink with Jesus at the helm. Instead of relying on your strength, trust the care and guidance of Jesus, confident that He will lead you safely through the storm.

PRAYER:

+ I lift a cry to Jesus amid my current storm. O Lord, arise and bring peace and calm in every area of my life, family, and career, in Jesus’ name.
