YOUR RIGHTS IN CHRIST: THE RIGHT TO REIGN

…And have redeemed us to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall REIGN on the earth. Revelations 5:9-10

To reign means to hold royal office as a dominant or powerful force, or to rule as a king or a queen. It means you can exercise ultimate power or authority over an area and its people. God put us here to reign as kings on earth by exercising our authority; we are to subdue everything here and not be subdued by any natural or demonic force. “The heavens, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; but the earth He has given to the sons of men.” ~ Psalm 115:16

You are a king; it doesn’t matter what you look like physically…you are still a king. A king is not necessarily one who wears the royal robe or golden crown – anyone can adorn himself with those. You demonstrate your kingship, ultimately, by what happens or who responds when you speak; for ‘where the word of the king is, there is power!’ (Eccl. 8:4) We are above only and not beneath. We are kings and kings are born to rule!

The way to effect a change in your ‘sphere of influence’ as a king is by issuing commands backed by the Word of God. Your sphere of influence will include – your work, family, health, neighborhood, business, etc. The Centurion, understanding his authority as the one in charge of his ‘territory,’ told Jesus, “I have men under my authority and when I speak they carry out my commands. So…Just speak a Word as a man of authority and my servant will be healed.” In other words, as a king who carries authority, when you speak, things happen.

In the movie, ‘The King And I,’ the moment the king died, the young Crown Prince immediately assumed authority, and the first thing he did, right beside his father’s lame body, was to issue decrees and edicts that will be binding on the whole Siamese Empire – now, that’s reigning!

So, what are you waiting for, start speaking, start commanding, and start reigning over the affairs of your life!
