“If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.” ~ Job 14:14
REFERENCE:
Anything can happen with time. The fact that something you desire has not happened yet does not mean it will not happen; it is only a matter of time. Time is a gift of God to man. He can accomplish so much in time – planning his life, setting goals, and exchanging it for money. With time many have bettered their lives, and someone down yesterday can be up today. However, time agitates man because he has no power to either hasten or delay it. God alone controls time. He lives in eternity, not in time, yet, He has absolute control over time.
Job lamented his troubles throughout most of the book, but once in a while, a ray of hope would beam upon his troubled soul, and he would express his trust in God. In our text, he asked if a man could live again if he died. Of course, he will live at the resurrection; it is only a matter of time. Job wished God could hide him in the grave till His wrath passed, and then, bring him out. He knew that the worst of situations change with time if God is involved in them. So, he said, “All the days of my toil (hustling, struggle, trouble), I will wait till my change comes.”
Is there an expectation you have? Are there troubles you wish would end soon? Have you found yourself in a difficult place? Is there a dream you long to see fulfilled? Fix your eyes on God; your time will come. God has not forgotten you; He has set a clock – an appointed time when everything will turn in your favor, and whatever it is will not exceed it by a minute. God is able; He sets and keeps appointments. He will keep His word with you.
Satan may have set you back in business, broken your relationship, stolen your money, or even a loved one. You may hear his voice taunting you that you are stuck in this defeat. Fear not, neither be intimidated; he has no power or permission to keep you longer than the time that God has set for you. God’s clock is ticking, and each day draws you closer to your victory.
Israel was in captivity in Egypt for years, but their time came. Joseph was in prison for years, but his time came. Esther was to grow up an unknown orphan, but her time came. Sarah waited for a child for a long time, but her time came, and satan thought he had Job, but his time came. The wait may be tough, but God will not miss His appointment with you. It won’t be long again; wait till your change comes. See you on the other side of change with your testimony.
