Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! – Psalms 133:1
REFERENCE
Psalm 133:1-3
Continued from yesterday…
The advantages of being in fellowship with other believers are unquantifiable. For starters, it gives you a platform to experience the love of God from others, because sooner or later, you will need a body of believers to console you in your ‘low’ times, and also to rejoice with you in times of celebration.
Again, because of the pressures around, being in company of other believers will always keep you refreshed in the Word, you can get prayer support, you can get wise, sound counsel from other people who are going through the same things you are going through, and you can draw strength from one another (for there’s strength in numbers).
More importantly, you are part of the body of Christ. You have a God given part to supply, that which other parts of the body need; just like you need supply from other parts of the body to function. All for the growth and edification of the body (Ephesians 4:16).
You can never be too BIG or too important to have need for fellowship. You can not be self-sufficient enough or too busy to belong in a fellowship. Nothing should exempt you from fellowship; it is the only way you can stay on the straight and narrow path in these last days.
Enjoy your weekend!
