Jeremiah 29:12-14
Yesterday, we left off with the thought that there is a specific pattern for your life this year which you cannot afford to miss. A pattern is a plan or model used as a guide for making something. For example, tailors who make custom-tailored clothes as against mass produced clothes, make them to fit the measurement of the body statistics of a specific client. In the same way, there is a divine plan fitted specifically to you this year; you can’t run with someone else’ plan because it won’t fit. Besides, the will of God is not ‘one size fits all,’ it is custom-made to fit you.
However, everything that God has in store for you this year is concealed by God and can only be accessed by diligent seeking. It will remain a mystery/a secret until you are willing to pay the price in waiting on God to have it revealed to you. Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” In other words, God is saying, “Come to Me and I will show you things to come.”
This means taking time off your busy schedule, shutting down every distraction (TV, games, social media, etc.) and retreating to a quiet place with an open heart to wait on the Lord in prayer & fasting, so as to hear Him; to receive His instructions and direction for the year. It is not a time to give God deadlines or a to-do list, but a time to report for duty, asking Him what He would have you do for Him this year. It is a time to pray, to appraise and review your life; it is a time to plan, think and make decisions.
The benefit of making out private time to seek God is that He will reveal secrets to you that will give you insight and foresight into navigating your affairs this year according to divine plan, and you will enjoy divine speed as a result. To know the will of God for your life is the greatest knowledge, and to do the will of God is the greatest achievement.

PRAYER POINTS
+ Ask for grace to shut out every distraction in order to wait on God with a quiet spirit.
+ Pray for divine wisdom to be downloaded into your spirit man as you take time off to wait on God.
Lord, I desire to know Your specific will, Your pattern, Your rule of life for me this year in Jesus name.
