The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29

REFERENCE
John 1:19-30

John the Baptist, pointing to Jesus Christ, uttered these powerful words; “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” That announcement changed the story of mankind forever. Jesus represents God’s love, gift and blessings to us. He became a curse that we might be blessed, He was punished for us to have peace, He became poor for our riches. His imprisonment brought us freedom, and He died that we might live unto God forever more.

The Passover Lamb slayed in Exodus 12 to deliver Israel from Egypt was a type of our Lord Jesus Christ and the great sacrifice He made with His life to set us free. Therefore, in Jesus Christ- the Lamb of God, we have all the benefits of the Passover Lamb and even much more. He came that we may have abundant, enjoyable and overflowing life.

Every time we come to the table of the Holy Communion, we come into fellowship with God, and to partake in and enforce all the benefits that Jesus died on Calvary’s tree for us to have. Jesus said about the Holy Communion, “Do this in remembrance of Me.” So, the next time you take the communion, you must behold the Lamb of God and partake of the blessings of His sacrifice.

II Corinthians 8:9 says: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” God loves you so much and all Jesus went through was for your sake – so that you will have a more meaningful and blessed life. Believe and receive it today!
