“The end of a thing is better than its beginning…” – Ecclesiastes 7:8
REFERENCE:
I have seen long-distance races where the person who eventually won fell early in the race and lagged behind a bit. There are football marches where a team struggles to find itself, struggling with a loss in the first half, only to return with a good finish. You may have started life or this year on a sad note or struggled through pain; it gets better from here.
You are the God who gives beauty for ashes and gladness out of despair. It is heartwarming to see someone who started life with no purpose, who was always last in class, doing things that provoke thanksgiving to our God. Someone bought a property or car and could pay their house rent and other bills. All may not be well now, but a good finish awaits you.
Solomon reveals one reason the end of a thing often turns out better than its beginning: a person who is patient in spirit is better than one who is proud in his heart. The proud thinks too much of himself and can interrupt and ruin something that God begins. But a patient man can trust God to turn a bad beginning into a good ending. Patience ensures that.
God is working on your expectations; you may not see it, but He is working. Just be patient with God, and you will see your miracle unfold. Pride can ruin the best of chances, but patience can repair and make good the worst situation. God will ensure you end this year well and give you a good finish; you can bet on it. You will end the year better than you started.
Movie producers know that a great movie is usually one with happy endings. No matter what happens in the middle of the story, they script it to ensure it has a good finish. Likewise, our God is a God of happy endings; He intended Job’s life and others who passed through difficulties in the bible to end well (James 5:11). He intends for you to have your best year yet. I pray that the Spirit of God will move on your behalf and give you a good finish, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER:
+ Lord, I thank You because You will not allow me to end in shame or defeat. The misfortunes I have passed through are nothing compared to the glory You are bringing to me this year. I anchor my faith on Your faithfulness because I shall have a good finish this year, in Jesus’ name.
