“…For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” ~ Joshua 1:8
REFERENCE:
Joshua 1:8-9
We began to look at breakthrough yesterday and how it is not God’s plan for any man to be under any embargo of the devil. We saw that a man stuck in life is not where God wants him to be. You were made for more, destined for the top, and designed for greatness. Don’t be satisfied with living life on the plane of mediocrity and timidity, almost apologizing for being here.
God is ultimately the author of breakthroughs, but there is a part you must play. He told Joshua in our text that ‘you’ will make ‘your’ way prosperous; then ‘you’ will have good success. Let us see some things you should do if you want to want to live from breakthrough to breakthrough:
a. Have a Breakthrough Mentality: Everything begins in the mind. Solomon said, “As he thinks, so is he.” Jesus said what comes out of a man affects him. Believe that you deserve the best, and good things look good on you. Believe that you are meant to be big, prosperous, have a good life, enjoy, not struggle, and never be stranded or poor. Have a faith-filled outlook on life.
b. Make God Your Source: Take your eyes off men. A man is limited to the resources available to him. He can only take you as far as he can go and as high as he can reach, and no more. Psalm 34:9-10_ “…There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” Keep your eyes on God. God is all you need to have all your needs met. He is the Most-High that lifts high.
c. Know More: Learn more. Get more light. A man only shines by light. The path of the just man is like a shining light; the brighter the light he has, the more he will shine in life. Ecclesiastes 8:1 says, “Wisdom makes the face of a man to shine…” What you know brought you to where you are, and what you need to know will take you to where you need to be.
Furthermore, light represents knowledge, information, and revelation, but darkness represents ignorance. Weeping endures as long as night (darkness) lasts, and joy or breakthrough comes in the morning (when you contact light).
