“According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.” ~ Exodus 25:9
REFERENCE:
I once had a building project that a friend was handling. One day, I visited the site and noticed several costly things that needed to be corrected. I asked the supervisor on site for the building plan to show him his error. He responded, “I don’t have it here with me.” He didn’t have the drawings with him, yet work was ongoing on the site. It costs money to tear down and rebuild many walls.
As we approach a new year, you cannot afford to be like this supervisor on my site, especially since what you are building is your life, family, ministry, career, business, etc. You need to find God’s ‘building plan’ for your life and build according to it in the coming year. That supervisor probably wanted to use his past building experience on my project, but he failed to see that it was a different project altogether. This year’s strategy may not work for next year. Get a plan.
As the Israelites prepared to cross the Jordan, God told them they had never been that way before. Likewise, you have not been this way before; you have not seen next year; it is the first in the history of humanity. Hence, you must get God’s plans for your life in the coming year. Anything other than that will equal wasted time, money, and effort – futility.
God would have Moses build the Tabernacle after the heavenly plan. Before there ever was a tabernacle on earth, heaven had one, and all God wanted was to replicate heaven on earth. Before you showed up, heaven had an agenda, job, or calling for you. All God wants from you next year is to bring heaven down into your reality: “As it is in heaven, let it be in me.”
God gave Moses details about the dimensions, colors, and materials for construction. God cares about every detail of your life; do not live on a ‘hit and miss’ or ‘trial and error basis.’ Build according to plan in every detail of your life because God has a unique plan for you – uniquely different from another person’s. This plan is in the mind/will of God for you.
