DELIVERANCE IS PREACHED

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor… to preach deliverance to the captives…” ~ Luke 4:18 (KJV)

Many Christians go around seeking deliverance. What they are looking for is someone to say a ‘powerful’ prayer: to tell them to ‘connect’ with the anointing with a token, turn and spin, drink or bathe with anointing oil or holy water, pray naked at night, go on a three-day dry fast, etc.

That is not deliverance; there is no scriptural basis for such practices. Jesus said, “I am anointed by God’s Spirit to preach deliverance.” Deliverance is preached and birthed in the Word of God. True deliverance is a function of revelation; when a bible truth explodes in your spirit, you become empowered and enlightened in an area where satan once molested you. You can boldly declare, “Enough is enough.” Just knowing God’s mind on a matter is deliverance. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” Jesus defeated satan! He assaulted the devil with, “It is written.”

The Word of God is potent and sufficient to deliver from any affliction because it is:

a.     Light: “And the light shines in the darkness, and darkness cannot comprehend (overpower) it.” When you expose any affliction of darkness to God’s Word, it dissipates and disappears.

b.     Spirit: “Where the Spirit of God is, there is liberty.” When the Word of God enters a man’s heart, all chains holding him down are loosed. He comes into a place of lasting freedom.

c.     Fire: “I am making My words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it will consume them.” Jeremiah 5:14. When the Word is released, fire consumes all satanic machinations.

d.     Sword: The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword; it cuts wherever it turns. When the Word of God is spoken, a sharp two-edged sword is released to deal with devils.

e.     Power: Paul said, “I am not ashamed of the gospel (word) of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation.” ‘Salvation’ in Greek is deliverance, preservation, safety, peace, and health.

Yorubas say, “The day a mad man knows he is mad, is the day his deliverance comes.” Hence, his deliverance from madness is by ‘knowledge.’ Once you ‘see’ God’s mind for you in His word, your deliverance is instant. Once you understand that He has: disarmed devils, delivered you from the power of darkness, set you in the heavenly realms above principalities, healed you, and ranked you higher than demons, through Jesus Christ, that is your deliverance!

Stop running from pillar to post looking for a deliverance minister to ‘deliver’ you. The Word of deliverance is in your mouth. Study the bible in the area you need deliverance, then release the rod of power from your mouth, and watch all satanic enemies/afflictions submit to you.
