He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. – Psalm 40:2
REFERENCE
Psalm 40:1-3
I welcome you to a new year, a new season and a new dispensation. If you are reading this, you must consider yourself an overcomer; God has kept you from the wickedness of Satan and transited you into 2018. It doesn’t matter what isn’t working presently for you, you are here, you are alive; a living dog is better than a dead lion and as long as you have life, your situation can change and I believe it will change for the better.
The contemplation in my heart today is a cry in God’s heart: “My people are not deliberate in living, in serving or walking with Me, in their family lives and even in business.” For that reason, there is a lot of carelessness in how many people handle all these departments of their lives. God is saying that His people’s foundations are weak and this shows in their spirituality, in their lives, businesses, marriages, etc. Thus, God wants His people to think “ESTABLISHMENT” in Him this new year.
To establish means to ‘To set up on a firm or permanent basis.’ It is to make something firm. And to be established means having existed or done something for a long time and therefore recognized and generally accepted. Being established in God will then mean that your relationship with God is a little more developed and deepened. It means that you are finding stability in your walk and relationship with Him; it is coming to the place of maturity in God.
We see from our main text that God does not just want to bring you up out of an unfavorable place to a more favorable one, or to a point of focus and progress in your life, marriage, walk with God, business, etc., NO! He wants to do more than that! He wants to plant your feet, He wants to establish you. He wants what you have built to grow strong, He wants it to outlive you, He wants you and what you represent to be transgenerational, He wants you to be rooted and grounded in Christ, so that you are not tossed about by the trickery of the devil or false doctrine

CONFESSION
“O Lord, give foundation to my life and to all that I represent. Make me a heavy weight in the things that pertain to life and to godliness, so that I will not be easily blown away or displaced by any wind of the devil. Change the way I do everything I do and cause me to begin to think ‘Establishment.’ I confess right now, that I will become a force to be reckoned with, a reference point and an authority in my field of endeavor, in Jesus name – Amen!”
Can’t wait to rejoin the flow of the Spirit. Establishment! The word has gone forth. May He become flesh in my life.
I remember when solving problems in maths was a hit and miss for me until I went to the foundation and got grounded.
Spiritually, I begin to think and act like an heavy weight. More Rooted and grounded shall be my daily testimony this year.
Thank you Jesus.
For the good work I’ve begun with you will be established.

Building to Last; making it stay there.
