So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished’. And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. ~ John 19:30
Following the life of Jesus Christ and the sequence of events on the cross, the earthly life of Jesus Christ fulfilled every prophecy spoken about Him, He came to fulfil destiny, at every point in His life, the Bible records things He did or those that happened to Him with statements like, “as it was written…., to fulfil the scriptures…, so the saying may be fulfilled…, etc.”
Therefore, at this point on the cross, when Jesus said, “it is finished,” He was saying that everything written about Him (while alive on the earth) had been fulfilled. And because He fulfilled His purpose – which is to restore you back to your original state, you can now walk in newness of life here on earth.
This means, you have been given a blood bought right to be one with God, walk in dominion, divine health, prosperity, peace of mind, joy, wisdom, well-being, etc.
If Jesus had to go all the way to the cross just for the joy of seeing you enjoy all these many benefits, why settle for LESS? He paid your expense in FULL, so live life to the FULL! Fulfill your destiny too by boldly taking hold of what is yours in Christ!
May God’s WILL come to pass in your life this WEDNESDAY!
Isaiah 9:6&7, Ephesians 1:3-13 and 2 Timothy 4:7&8.
Ask for grace to live a life of fulfillment, i.e. accomplish all of God’s purposes for your life; and also to finish your race as a possessor of the inheritance of God by Christ Jesus.
