The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. – II Samuel 22:3

As a Christian, it is necessary for you to know God and His attributes because your concept of God is a function of your knowledge of Him. Also, your affection and service for God cannot be greater than how much you know of Him. Many have backslidden because of a faulty, inadequate or twisted opinion of God.
The attribute of anything speaks about its quality, property or characteristics; so, God’s attributes speaks about His character. One of such attributes is that God is trustworthy. Which means, you can never go wrong with trusting Him because He is constant, dependable and reliable.
Job was so convinced about His trustworthiness, he said: “Though He slays me, yet will I trust Him.” (Job 13:15a). We tend to trust people who have proven their reliability to us. God has proven His reliability to us again and again, if in doubt, just look at creation itself. Everything still stands today because the Word God spoke is reliable and valid today just as it was when He spoke it in the beginning.
Even the best of men can sometimes let us down but not God, He says those who put their trust in Him will be immovable as rocks (Psalm. 125:1-2). When you distrust God, you are saying, He is unpredictable, you cannot get the best of Him with that kind of thinking. Let not your hearts be troubled folks, what He says He will do, is what He will do!
Happy new month!
