Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous – Genesis 26:12-13
REFERENCE
Genesis 26:1-5 & 12 -14
Grace is divine enablement or help from God that strengthens us to attain heights or get things we ordinarily cannot get in our own strength. Someone said it is “God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.” Therefore, the grace to thrive in adversity is the divine and supernatural empowerment upon a man that makes him thrive even in a hard place.
This ‘grace’ was evident upon Isaac. In a time of famine, when people were starving, ‘closing shop’ and getting impoverished, Isaac ‘mysteriously’ prospered until he became very prosperous. Also, in I Samuel 22:1-2, although David was in exile, a reject and a vagabond; hiding in a cave to save himself from King Saul’s murderous envy, yet his army grew – people were coming to serve under him. This is proof of the grace to thrive in adversity. Furthermore, Exodus 1:8-12 reveals that the more the Israelites were afflicted by their taskmasters, the more they grew and multiplied. They couldn’t be stopped because ‘this grace’ was on them.
Therefore, if you are going through any kind of adversity – infirmity in your body, insecurity issues in your environment, marital or relational issues, emotional trauma, financial difficulty, etc., you have to know that you can still thrive regardless of the adversity because the grace of God is upon your life. As a believer, when you accepted God’s gift of salvation, you released His grace upon your life. With that gift came all of God’s blessings; therefore, walk conscious of that truth and verbally declare that grace over yourself. Refuse to define the height you can attain by your sight, but by God’s enabling power in you.
It is uncommon to see water in the desert (a dry place), yet, God makes rivers in the desert. Thus, no matter how dry and difficult the situation around you may be, expect to see rivers that will refresh and make you thrive; God’s grace is working for you! I speak this grace over you today – that it will produce uncommon testimonies, bring ‘water out of a rock,’ increase the patronage in your waning business, cause income to come from unexpected means, and give you a brief/contract/job, where things have been dry and tough before now, in Jesus’ name!
