But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us— see that you abound in this grace also. – II Corinthians 8:7
REFERENCE
II Corinthians 8:1-7
When someone has grace for something, doing that thing becomes easy for them. Like the Corinthian church, a lot of Christians have grace in many areas of their lives – singing, poetry, praying, knowledge, faith, etc…but when it comes to giving money, it’s a struggle – ‘no Grace’ there.
However, true religion must touch your pocket, so you must also abound in the ‘grace to give.’ As a Christian, you could be free from the controlling influences of sin and from the clutches of demonic oppression, but until you are economically free, you are not totally free because “He who has economic power rules the world.”
God’s plan is for His children to to have financial freedom, and one way God has designed His children to prosper is through generous giving. Until we learn generosity and giving, we will still be behind the world in prosperity.
Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but make a life by what we give.” What you give is a seed, it may leave your hand but not your life. Your seed is your way out of every need. Start planting seeds until it becomes easy for you to do, & God will show you He is no man’s debtor!
