Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, ‘So shall your descendants be.’ Romans 4:18
REFERENCE
Romans 4:18-21
Having hope in God is not mere wishful thinking; rather, it is ‘absolute belief,’ ‘confident expectation’ or ‘firm assurance’ in the things He has promised. Abraham hoped in God in spite of his hopeless circumstances and this led him to develop strong faith – believing in what could not be seen, and so, he actually became the father of many nations just as it had been told him.
When someone you respect e.g. an authority figure in your life (parent, employer or ruler), or people you trust (spouse, relatives, colleagues or friends) tell you they will do a particular thing for you, your reaction most likely will be to thank them and then expect to receive what they promised. You will go away from their presence unfazed about how they will do it because you know they have the ability to do it; and probably because in the course of time, in your dealings with them, they’ve always made good their promise so you have no room for doubts.
You constantly subject yourself to believe (hope) and firmly hold to the word of a mortal man who is not 100% reliable, so how much more should you believe (hope) and hold firmly to the promises in the Word of Almighty God?
Therefore, in whatever area you want to see the promises of God fulfilled today, whether it is salvation for a rebellious child, supply of money for a bill that is long overdue, healing for the pain you have in your body, freedom from an addition, visa to travel abroad to join your family, peace in your troubled marriage, money to pay children’s fees, etc. Choose to apply Abraham’s pattern of absolute belief and trust in God’s promises even in the face of hopelessness; that is the secret to unlocking God’s promises in your life.
Remember, ‘blessed are those who believe without seeing’ (John 20:29).
May today be filled with WONDERFUL surprises for you in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT
Pray that your hope will no longer be deferred but that you will see your desires come through for you even in areas that seem hopeless today
He is faithful that promised.
I will hope in Him alone!
Continued hope brings joy and peace.
Though contrary to what is obtainable,(which should normally be unsettling), the one who promised mediates this process and gives His peace.
I yield to hope. I choose to hope.
#apromisekept #continue #peacelikeariver
I will continue to hold tightly to the promise of God until I see my desires become flesh like Abraham did. Praise God!
