LAID UP GOODIES

Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! Psalm 31:19

According to this text, God has goodness stored up for those who fear Him (believers). This promise is not something that God would do later, it is already done. So, no matter what you are going through right now as a believer, you have to understand that there is goodness laid up for you and it is great.

God has these ‘goodies’ stored up in appointed places and seasons on your path to destiny, and as you journey in life and stay in the race, you will eventually access them. I like to say that, “There is a place that God has prepared for you, He is only preparing you for the place.” It is only a matter of time. The future is good and it has ‘laid up’ goodies in it; what no eye has seen and no ear heard… God has prepared and laid up just for you. He said concerning His children, “I have not asked the seed of Jacob to seek me in vain” (Isaiah 45:19b). Likewise, He hasn’t called you to follow Him in vain, He wants His goodness to be seen in your life; that all will see and know that you have a good, good Father!

Look at the goodness you walk in and enjoy right now. There was a time you did not have them, but they were laid up in your future and you eventually walked into them. In the same way, there is still much goodness you should look forward to having; they are laid up in your future and as you stay connected with God, you will surely collide with them, in Jesus’ name. You have God’s assurance that IT IS THERE, laid up. It is not a product of chance, it is not dependent on whether you have to earn it or not; the grace of God has already made it available, just remain in His grace and keep your faith alive, and you will discover that which has been laid up before the foundations of the earth.

On the other hand, each day has goodness laid up in it, Psalm 69:19 reveals that God daily loads us with benefits. So, wake up every day thanking God for the ‘laid up’ goodness for that day and expect to receive them.

May you collide with God’s goodness that is ‘laid up’ specifically for you today in Jesus’ name.
