Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. – Ephesians 6:13
REFERENCE
Ephesians 6:10-17
When Jesus won the victory over the devil, it was a once-and-for-all-time thing. It is the same way He wants your victory over the enemy to be. A lasting victory is one in which you have defeated the enemy, and kept him in a place of defeat that he can’t overcome you again no matter how hard he tries.
Today’s passage admonishes you to stand your ground after you have done all to stand. Which means not letting down the reins of victory you have secured (in different areas of your life).
The devil will always try to come back again and again to see if you will really maintain your winning posture, because he is not discouraged by the fact that you won once. So, don’t let yesterday’s victory blind you from seeing that the devil is always looking for a weak spot to attack you from. You have to be alert in order to win and win again.
The best way to defend yourself against his antics is to be on the offensive and you can only do that with the Word of God (a.k.a. the sword of the Spirit). Keep the Word in your spirit and wield it against the enemy when he comes against your mind, body or anything that concerns you, it is a proven weapon that makes the devil bow always.

* The devil will do everything to stop you from getting the Word so you won’t be able to stop him; therefore come against his plans and declare them useless against you.
