This passage further reinforces the fact that “You will not necessarily get what you deserve in life (for it was recorded that the man did not answer the petitioner though he was his friend), you will only get what you demand.” (Yes it is recorded that the petitioner’s request was granted because of his persistence).
Life on earth is not a walk in the park, and unfair things happen to people who do not deserve it. A close look at your life’s journey and those of others you know, will buttress this fact. However, to get what you deserve out of life, you have to consciously demand it out of life.
You can never get anything out of life, by giving up after a few attempts and trials. You have to be PERSISTENT. Take the promise of God for you concerning healing for instance, I Peter 2:24 says: “…By whose stripes you were healed.” this means it has already happened, yet you are confronted with the symptoms of sickness in your body.
If you give up on believing and behaving this promise of healing because of those symptoms in your body, you will never see the promise fulfilled in your life, even though you deserve to have it.
But, when you stand your ground, demanding and believing for your healing, eventually, it will manifest. This applies to other areas of your life. You have to look at the situations confronting you and declare you will outlast them by your persistence.
