When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the LORD your God. – Leviticus 23:22
REFERENCE
Leviticus 23:18-22
The principle of prosperity is that to increase, you must release. The overriding principle to getting in the bible is by giving. God wants you to cultivate this prosperity mentality: “always leave some for others.” Don’t cook and eat everything in the pot, somebody may just come for food. You should learn to let go off of things for people and look for ways to bless the underprivileged.
What you don’t need, you leave, what you can afford to leave, you leave. Go all the way to make another’s life better. A poor person in today’s verse of scripture may not necessarily be someone that does not have anything at all; it could just be someone that is deficient in some area where you have abundance. So look out for such people and do them good, it will bring great relief to them especially in this economic clime and in the spirit of Christmas; remember, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
