“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22
REFERENCE
Genesis 8:13-22
In life, there will be winter and summer, and there will be day and night. These changes in season speak of good times and bad times; therefore we must be alert in the good times and take advantage of them in order to sail through the toughest of times. God gave Noah the promise shown in today’s text, after the earth’s complete destruction by water. He was saying to Noah, ‘Look! You can start over with the seeds in your hand and create a beautiful world for your family.’
Seeds hold the power to reinvent, recreate and resurrect – seeds can come back to life when they die… With seeds you are mandated to forget the former things and chase the future. With seeds the new is inevitable and the old relinquishes its power to hold you bound. Perhaps you are currently suffering a financial crisis, loss of a job, a major transaction gone sour, etc., God is saying to you, ‘Look! You can start over with the seeds in your hand and recreate your world again.’
Your future starts with whatever is in your hands today because nothing is too little to multiply. Your financial seed is the only control you have over your future financial security. The only way to perpetuate what you have is to sow it. Eating your seeds brings finality to them but sowing them gives continuity to them. Yes, you may have suffered from financial loss, but from what you have left, you can still plant financial seeds into God’s kingdom – seeds which would bring you financial harvests.
Sowing financial seeds into God’s kingdom is a form of investment; Luke 6:38 guarantees that every giver will receive more than they give. Also, because your finances are precious to you, when you give to God, you are laying up treasures in heaven where moth and rust can’t destroy them, neither can thieves break in to steal them (Matthew 6:19-20).
The great theologian and priest Martin Luther said, “I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all, but whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess.” Whatever you place in God’s hand is more secure than any earthly investment. A new world beckons on the horizon. Don’t get stuck in the debris of the storm that ruined your finances, embrace the future with your seed…remember, as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will never cease.

PRAYER
Dear Father, today, I let go of the fragments of the past and I take hold of the seeds that hold my future. Thank You for securing the financial investments I make in Your kingdom. As I plant my seed, the harvest will never cease in my life in Jesus’ name.
Lord, wherever am at now, help me reinvent my future with the seed in my hands.
Amen 🙏🏽
Lord, I am in a winter season and I thank you for your words of wisdom to help me sow. My hands will never be empty in harvest.
