“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” ~ Romans 10:10

Romans 10:6-11
We often seek the transformation of our situation from sources outside ourselves; however, the enemy to contend with is the ‘inner-me.’ Many people are involuntarily the architects of their misfortune in life, marriage, children, or business; they have sabotaged their destiny with the words of their mouth. Our text shows that by confession, ‘there is salvation in your mouth.’
Moses introduced us to this principle in the Old Testament. He said to the Israelites, “It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it…Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it…But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” He was telling them that their salvation was not in heaven with God, not with man on earth, and not with satan in hell; it was in their mouth.
Paul said, “With the heart, man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.” In Greek, salvation is ‘soteria,’ which means rescue, safety (physically or morally), deliverance, health, salvation, peace, nothing missing, and nothing broken. These are all a product of your mouth. If your heart believes them, your mouth will fabricate them.
Never feel powerless as long as you can speak. Bartimaeus, who was born blind, recovered his vision with his mouth. There is salvation in your mouth; don’t close it; don’t let the devil be the only one speaking to you through voices around and within you. We are in a battle of words in this world, and speaking is the winning side. God gave you a mouth; open it and speak!
So, open your mouth, speak over your life, walk with God, health, and career. Declare that prosperity comes your way, you are blessed to be a blessing, your children succeed, customers come to your shop, and you get briefs from big clients. Command sickness to bow and failure to check out; you shall have what you say. While you are waiting on God or saying life is not fair, God is waiting on you to create your world with your words because salvation is in your mouth.
