“And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.” – I Kings 17:13
REFERENCE:
On the third day of creation, God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself…” Every plant carries its seed within itself and has the power to reproduce itself endlessly. The seed bears the roots, stem, branches, flowers, leaves, and fruits, which contain seeds.
This truth governs life, relationships, finances, and work. Every deed is a seed sown, and seed must bear harvest. Be wise to rightly discern the seed and opportunities to sow, so as not to sabotage your colorful destiny. Never eat what God desires to multiply in your life.
The widow at Zarephath did not rightly discern that what she had was a seed. It was insufficient, small, and her very last. That is what a seed often is: not enough to meet your need, compared to the potential harvest, small, and often is your very last. However, the widow’s future security, sustenance, and supernatural supply were in her little morsel of food. It was all she had, and it seemed logical for her to have eaten it. If she had, she would have eaten her seed and never seen the kind of harvest she eventually saw; she would have died. Who could have imagined that a handful of flour and a little jar of oil could feed a whole extended family for 31/2 years?
Some eat what should be sown and die (of lack). Do not eat ‘that’ seed; the ones you ate in the past are gone and forgotten. Eating your seeds brings finality, but sowing them gives continuity. Anyone can count the number of seeds in an orange fruit, but only God can count the number of oranges in a seed. It took Elijah to help the widow see the number of meals in her ‘seed.’ I pray that God will open your eyes to see that anytime you give, you do not lose; you gain. There is no telling as to what can become of $1, $5, $100, or $10,000 when it is ‘sown.’
The master of the unprofitable servant said, “You ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming, I would have received back my own with interest.” He knew that the money had the potential to multiply. The bank of heaven is the best; make deposits continuously by sowing your seeds. I prophesy, “God will give you a financial miracle as you go out today.” If you feel tempted to eat it all, STOP! DON’T EAT THE SEED.

REFLECTIONS
Never eat your seed with your bread; your seed contains within it a big harvest. Do not eat what belongs to another with your own. Remember that for every seed (blessing) you receive, there is something in it for somebody else. Every seed carries potential. Its future is greater than its present.
Help me Lord to discern seed from bread 🙏🏽
Lord give me the wisdom to know my seed and the discipline to not eat it but rather to sow it and watch you multiply it at harvest time
“Eating your seeds brings finality, but sowing them gives continuity.”
Grace to keep a continuous flow of financial blessings by practicing the covenant of sowing and reaping.
I will no more rely on gleaning on the field of someone who was diligent and disciplined enough to sow. I receive grace to perpetuate a cycle of sowing and reaping in my life 🙌🏼
