THE CYRUS’ ANOINTING

“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held — To subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut.” ~ Isaiah 45:1

Cyrus was the founder of the Persian empire. His courage and genius placed him at the head of the Persians, and his military prowess saw him defeat and capture the Kings of Media, Lydia, and Assyria. Later, Babylon fell before his army. Our key verse implies that kings and their armies fell before him easily because God ‘anointed’ him for that task.

Cyrus was likely unaware of it, but he was under a divine assignment to liberate God’s children, who were Babylonian captives, and furnish them with resources to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. Therefore, God gave him victory in all his expeditions and finally made Babylon fall to him. God made Cyrus’ journeys into battles smooth, subdued nations before him, opened the great bronze gates of Babylon with its iron bar, and loosened kings’ armors before him.

Some historians inferred that the king of Babylon, having conquered many lands and taken their wealth, locked them up in buried secret vaults. These riches were discovered by Cyrus when he conquered Babylon and were partly used to foster the release of the Jews and the rebuilding of the Temple. Hence, verse 4 says, “For Jacob My servant’s sake.” So, God anointed Cyrus and gave him unusual military conquest and access to wealth for Israel’s sake.

God is releasing Cyrus’ anointing upon you now. For the sake of His kingdom and mission for your life, He will cause kings in different fields of life to bow to you and open the double doors of access and favor to you. Where things have been difficult for you, this anointing will straighten them out; no gates or walls of limitation will be able to stop or contain you.

This anointing is so vital, especially in today’s economy. The Cyrus’ anointing will cause you to come into the wealth you have not seen before; you will experience a wealth transfer from the ungodly; they will seek to patronize you, give to you, or hire you. Your gates of prosperity shall never be shut, that you may walk in perpetual wealth. God will give you access to ideas to generate wealth you didn’t know before, and you will end up mightily blessed by the Lord.

PRAYER:

+ Lord, I ask that You release this Cyrus’ anointing upon me today, and may I daily walk in it.

+ I will be conscious of and focused on running God’s mission. May every resource I need come to me.

+ I call command closed doors to open before me, and call forth the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, in Jesus’ name.
