“For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”” ~ Mark 5:28
REFERENCE:
We have been looking at how one’s life can be satisfied by what comes out of the mouth. What comes out of a man’s mouth can greatly affect his life for the better or worse. Jesus said, “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” A well-deployed tongue can determine what a person touches or experiences in life. Your life is in your mouth.
Solomon said, “…the tongue of the wise promotes health,” and “a wholesome tongue is a tree of life.” In other words, your healing and health rely so much on what you do with your tongue. The woman in our story is a good example. We often talk about the fact that she touched Jesus and virtue flowed into her, but her miracle did not happen then; it happened before the touch.
Upon hearing about Jesus, the woman began to say to herself, “If I may touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed.” There is no indication in the bible that Jesus ever healed anyone by this method. Still, the woman decided how she would be healed by what she declared. I don’t know how many times she said this to herself until she carried her frail frame through the mammoth crowd around Jesus to touch Him, and upon touching Jesus, she was perfectly healed.
The woman’s tongue procured the healing before her touch. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” This woman definitely ate the fruit of life on her tongue. The healing her tongue got her that day had eluded her for twelve years; all her money could not obtain it, and the best of doctors could not provide it. Culturally, she had been written off and confined to a life of seclusion, but her tongue changed everything.
What do you hope to touch, have, or experience in life? It will come by the principle of the tongue before touch. Begin to declare it boldly, say it as often as possible, and tell it to anyone who cares to know. By that, you will be operating a tried and tested principle: “The quality of life you live will be as a result of the quality of words you speak.” What are you saying about your life, family, business, relationship, or fruit of the womb? It’s tongue before touch; don’t ever forget!

CONFESSION:
+ I deploy my tongue today and declare I am whole and well. The blessing of the Lord is upon me and all that I put my hands to do. Knowing that my hands will touch the things my tongue declares, I call forth good health, peace, and total-life prosperity. I declare that the work of my hands is blessed, and I prosper in dimensions I have never experienced. By my words, I decree abundant life over my family, in Jesus’ name.
