“For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am…” ~ I Corinthians 15:9-10

I Corinthians 15:1-10
A season has broken upon us by a divine and prophetic declaration; it is a season of uncommon grace where God will cause the unusual and unexpected to happen. This season, you will witness unqualified-for liftings and undeserved blessings, opportunities, and privileges. God will by Himself open doors, raise men, give honors, and uncommon recommendations for the top.
There is a general goodness that all men experience and enjoy according to the compassionate and kind nature of God. Theologians call this ‘The Common Grace of God.’ The ‘Common Grace of God’ is making His sun shine on the good and the bad and honoring the law of seed and harvest for every man who plants a seed to give them their commensurate harvest. But that is not all.
Certain positions, levels of success, prosperity, or all-round peace will be unattainable unless God Himself signs off on them and says, “It is now your time and turn.” Otherwise, your efforts will only do so much; breaking through some ceilings over your career, finances, or business will be impossible. The same is valid with operating spiritual gifts. This is where uncommon grace comes in – for it is not of him who wills or runs, but of God who shows mercy.
Paul, an accomplished apostle, inspired penman of repute, and leader of leaders, recounts his trip to the top in our text. He said Jesus, upon His resurrection, appeared to Peter, the twelve apostles, and five hundred disciples. On this illustrious list, Paul’s name came last because he was not even (worthy to be called) an apostle but a persecutor of the church and murderer of believers. Yet, God chose him to reveal Christ to/in him and gave him uncommon revelations.
Paul looked at his resumé when he joined the ‘company,’ and his ministry wins; he concluded, “I am what I am by the grace of God.” He understood it takes grace to take someone from the back and put them in front. That is uncommon and unusual grace. May uncommon grace locate and speak for you this season; may it ignore your background, years of experience, age, or demerits. Let it lift you to the top, open doors, and do what others are seeking for you.
