“So, the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months.” ~ Exodus 2:2
REFERENCE:
Moses was one of the greatest leaders who walked the face of the earth. He was a friend of God and was the only one recorded to have seen God’s body parts. God attested that He spoke with Moses face to face as a man talked to his friend. Described as the meekest of men, Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.
Reading about Moses gives us the advantage of hindsight, which his parents did not have. As a baby cooing in his cot, nothing about him pointed to the miracles he would later perform or the fact that he would lead Israel out of 400 years of slavery. However, they saw a beautiful child who did not deserve to die; they saw something special about him, unlike other parents who thought their children deserved to die by the sword, as Pharaoh decreed.
What they saw informed their decision to keep him hidden at the risk of their own lives. They let him into the river in a water-proof basket when he was too big to be hidden. What you see and how you see will inform your actions – whether in faith or fear! How have you chosen to interpret the challenges you encounter? Do you interpret them in the light of God’s word, by faith, or do you join the crowd to confess the ‘negative facts’ contrary to God’s word?
Moses’ parents were mentioned in the Hebrews 11 ‘Hall of faith’ for what they did. Caleb earned himself an inheritance because he saw the land differently from how the other spies saw it. While they saw it as a land that devours its inhabitants, he saw a fulfillment of God’s promise to give them a land flowing with milk and honey. What you can see will determine what you can have in life. If you can see ahead of others, you can go ahead of others.
What do you see when you look at yourself, your child, your spouse, your job, or your country? Do you see them as good, beautiful, or a blessing, or do you see them as an obstacle, devourer, error, ugly, or bad? Your interpretation will determine your actions, so ‘shine your eyes’ before you act!

PRAYERS:
+ Lord, open the eyes of my heart; let me see the way You see. Holy Spirit, endow me with insight and foresight so that what I see will not limit me. I will not judge only by what my physical eyes see but by what the Spirit of God shows me. Hence, I will live a life free of error and be positioned to avoid every satanic trap on my journey to destiny, in Jesus’ name.
