REFERENCE:
God did not make you from leftover material. He made you in His image and of the finest stock. You are fearfully and perfectly made – a unique work of God’s genius, created specially by God for a special purpose. You are a partaker of God’s nature, full of divine abilities, packaged for success, and designed to excel. You have what it takes to become who you ought to be.
Humans never know their limits until circumstances put them down or they decide to stretch themselves. You can perform incredible feats if you put your mind to it. If you believe you can, you will find a way. What you believe sets the limits for what you become. You are a useful tool in God’s hands. However, God needs you to raise the bar in your life so He can reach it!
On whatever end of life’s spectrum Paul found himself, he could cope and still functioned to total capacity. He realized that changing conditions could not stop him from reaching his destination and fulfilling his mission. In trying times, God also raised a support system for him so that whether from within or from without, Paul had what it took to fulfill his assignment. He found strength, wisdom, capacity, and tenacity from within and got aid and support from without.
Your ultimate asset for success in life is that Christ dwells in you through faith, infusing you with the ability of God. It is what Paul refers to in our text – the ability of God in you. In yourself, you are limited, but not in the strength of God. The Holy Spirit in you is your helper, wisdom, knowledge, inspiration, creativity, power, and divine ability. He is our advantage as newborns in Christ Jesus. Paul said elsewhere, “If God is for us, who (what) can be against me?”
You will not go down, you will not fail, your business will rise again, God has not left you, and life is not against you. Just have faith in God and what He has said about you – “You can do all things…” You have what it takes. Napoleon Hill said, “No more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity than is required to accept misery and poverty.” Stop cheating yourself, stop limiting yourself, and stop stopping yourself. Trust God!
